The location module has incomplete region listings for countries, and none for others. Work is being done to it for D7 but so we're not expecting the D6 module to improve.

Add a patch to our D6 module that simply goes: "if no provinces found for country, add one with the country name".

That would cover all remaining province-less places.

I know the drupal standard is to have save and preview, and this has been referred to in other tickets - see #241 - I suggest we change 'save' to 'submit' - which should help.

Read this confused user's feedback:

So you write out your comment, and then it says save or preview... so I assume save means it is saved somewhere but as a draft, not actually submitted... so I go to preview instead which previews it bu then there is no submit button, just another opportunity to save. At no point (unless I'm missing something) does it offer you the opportunity to submit or post it, so I tried to save it twice thinking it might lead me to a submit button...

LIVE is being odd, like it's not getting all the data from MySQL - truncated somehow... It's having a reasonable impact on the site.

Effects noted:

Menus weren't showing fully (see https://tech.transitionnetwork.org/trac/ticket/300) -- added menu items not appearing, flushed caches a few times, no change. Waited overnight, no change. Admin menu for navigation menu showing different elements to public menu.
Several views are having problems displaying/filtering on certain fields (see /events is empty, missing video at /video and missing filters on /initiatives page etc etc etc).
Ed mentioned some counts of initiatives don't tally which could also be a symptom.
sometimes the diversity & inclusion page (and indeed other Panels pages) shows the underlying page rather than the panel version.
Certain permissions randomly dropped (#293)
Probably many more.

As per Catrina's issues, Diversity & Inclusion page - and all themes, plus some other node types - suddenly start displaying the raw page, not the fancy 'panels' version that includes the lists of news and events plus other layout goodness.

Clearing the caches fixes the symptoms if not the cause.

This is here for discussion as I'm not sure if that is possible (or only happens at 'save'), and if it does happen, we need to have the alert in a pop-up so they know they're adding captcha-issue content.
