It's a Notifications bug, fixed upstream, expect a new version of the module soon: http://drupal.org/node/845250

In the mean time I've found a message template I missed and fixed it.

if this is still happening please post the message here!!!!! There are ~20 templates, twice (workspaces+live) and I need specifics to track it down.

Consider this a free fix...!

Yes, Notifications module has this fixed - am pushing to DEV this eve... Once tested will go to LIVE and hopefully squash this bug once and for all.
