Well, we need to assess the blocks around the site and decide what's right and wrong.

There are easy wins - for example:

the node view pages for each CT (content type) - e.g. what blocks appear on a ini page, vs a news page, vs events etc etc
are there any blocks (apart from the login and 'validate your email nag' that are specific
views -> panels: e.g. the ini directory page could easily become a panel, which means we can put blocks wherever - though realistically we'd need a simple 'blocks on right' panel layout (which is a quick job).

I have no concept of the issues because I've not dealt with blocks much since the site went live... Be good if you could put yr thinking cap on and come up with some general plans/needs.

As for Context - well the module has changed fundamentally.... If we stick with it (and it's not really replaceable TBH) we should move to v3, which has knock on effects. The biggest of which is the need to either NOT use it to handle block stuff, or give it complete control...

I'll look into the module's status as I haven't checked for a bit...

Ed provide IA for blocks in sections based on CTs

oh crap - sorry Jim - need to put it back into the /user section - so they click on their name, the user block (incl. 'create content' stuff) appears on the right hand side.

My error for not remembering this, please can you re-instate in /user section?
