Transition Technology: Ticket #280: Training events calendar view

Make some new views for 'network event':
http://www.transitionnetwork.org/events/network

(this is almost entirely used by training team, so ed is going to change the tab on the main events view to 'Network trainings' on request) and call it training events below.

calendar view

latest training events (and block/panel)

owner
              changed from jim to ed

status
                changed from new to assigned

Can do, yes... But is it worth a new field 'Event Type' on these? Can have 'Training' and 'Other' for now...?

Or just rename, which has the disadvantage of effectively changing Network Events to pure training...

I reckon a new field and changes to the view is better so we have the 'other' uses of events?

Ed?

owner
              changed from ed to jim

What is desirable is a 'Transition Training' event type. To date they've been using the 'Transition Network' event because I've told them that's all they'll get because I was being tight. I figured that would be yet another event type with views and blah, which was PITA.

hmm. or can you add a field in a transition network event type with 'training' in it which would show up in a tab/view/widget which showed only training events?

hmm actually i just got what you were saying, through the fug of early afternoon panic and drowsiness all combined.

Confirmed:

Add a new field to 'Network events' with 'Training' or 'Other'

Add a new tab to the /events view to show 'Transition Training' as well as 'Network events'

Add a 'Transition Training' only (a) calendar view, (b) 'latest' block and (c) 'latest' widget

Erm... embarrasment all round: "Event Type" ALREADY on Network Events... Options:

Transition Network event

Partner event

Training event

Hmm..

So,

Done (already)

2 & 3 will do now.

Ed, can you confirm the above is OK and ensure staff use that field?

View in place at /events/network-training. Have made this show training events only, and the old 'Network Events' tab now shows only NON training events. Also been through and correctly assigned such event nodes 'Training event' from 'Network event'.

Coming up...

"If possible, create for me the moon on a stick"?

Moon on stick (stage reference) added.... Does this need to relate/display on any views?

what an emergent process this is. Who needs specification documents? Or any documentation *cough*? I've always wondered why the moon would be on a stick, rather than 'I want the moon on a tractor', but never mind that.

To relate to/display on:

stage landing pages

ingredients profile pages (in RHS 'related...' blocks/panels)

owner
              changed from jim to ed

status
                changed from reopened to assigned

OK, but that's gonna bone our new 3 col layout... Shall I revert to 4 or have you another cunning plan? (See below) View made for a stage, added to NEW NEW '2 col golden' layout (like Themes).

Hmmm... Ok, well as per 1) I've updated the layout to use my 4 col thing, and put the stuff on the RHS as requested in #265. BUT, since events match to a stage, there's no 'events for this ingredient' except through stage, which is a little odd... See http://www.transitionnetwork.org/ingredients/starting/jims-test-ingredient (and the other ticket, really)

You likey?
