also NB: http pages were not showing the names of the named people as links - they were showing them as just text. is this related?

This is because the page behind that contact button is the contact page for that user, and it wants to go to https://www.transitionnetwork.org/user/6885/contact

However, in the Poc for the ini, user 'kjlovell' has unchecked the 'Personal contact form' option in the his contact settings.

I remember we had this a long time go, but basically: Point of contacts either MUST have the 'Personal contact form' enabled, else they cannot be the PoC. I've left it enabled for now, so the button works.
