Firstly, revisions are kept (or not) per content type depending on settings.

Secondly, old revisions are cleaned up daily according to Content management -> Revisions to Mass Delete -> Settings tab. In fact on that page the CTs in bold have auto-revisioning enabled.

So, SR blog posts currently have auto-revisioning OFF. I've pre-emptively turned it on based on the presence of this ticket.

A final FYI Ed, to review/change auto-revisioning status of any CT:

Go to https://www.transitionnetwork.org/admin/content/types and choose your poison with the appropriate 'edit' link.
Expand the 'Workflow settings' section.
Check or uncheck the 'Create new revision' as appropriate to automate revisioning or not.
