Transition Technology: Ticket #808: WordPress email being rejected due to From field

This issues is like ticket:737 but with WordPress rather than Drupal causing the problem.

Laura has forwarded one of the returned emails which contains:

hours
                changed from 0.0 to 0.25

totalhours
                changed from 0.0 to 0.25

Here is a solution, but in involves hacking on WordPress core files, so it is far from ideal:

http://opensource.about.com/od/tutorials/a/Use-Amazon-Ses-To-Send-Email-From-Wordpress.htm

There is also an interesting thread about this topic here:

https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/14888

But I haven't found a neat solution... also this issue is still outstanding with no fix for https://transitionnetwork.org/ see ticket:737.
