Description (last modified by jim) (diff)

The site's evolution and meandering path towards its current state has left many of the content types and fields having names that do not match their function, or are slightly inaccurate etc.

E.g. field_profile_related = "For initiative"

Note the text name shown to users is fine, it's the machine name that's a mess or unclear. There are lots of these around the site.

E.g. initiative_event = "Community Event"

Again, now we have initiative_event_external for "Initiative Event" (see #153), it's a mess.

Not super important, but certainly a consideration going forward as the site is moving slowly but surely away from 'self documenting'.

  • Priority changed from minor to major
  • Milestone set to Phase 4

worth popping into phase 4? Ed's adding, but with not critical priority... to keep it on the radar...

  • Priority changed from major to minor

this may rinse out with the work on #262

taking back to minor

  • Milestone changed from Phase 4 to Phase 5

moving to phase 5 as a nice to have and probably something we'll need to have done for PSE work

  • Milestone changed from Phase 5 to PSE

Well this is a huuuuge one. We'd be best to integrate this with PSE work and stick to ini, project and user profile to start. Changing milestone.

I've now created a feature to hold the existing Project CT and fields, and when we update to the new structure this will mean Projects at least will be tidier and able to be exported to any other site.

  • Keywords drupal-core-upgrade added
  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to wontfix

This really won't get done now until the Drupal 7/8 move, nor is it worth it now... Closing but tagging 'drupal-core-upgrade' for another time.
