please give a quote for adding Big Blue Button virtual conferencing to TN.org, integrating it with the user database so that users can add and join teleconferences with their Transition logins. Please consider likely hosting and bandwidth costs etc. for a year.

Sorry not to have got this done yet.

We are thinking of doing a quote for a month or the first 3 months of use -- we don't know exactly what the cost of running a Big Blue Button server will be for us in terms of the resources the virtual machine will need or the bandwidth it will use, so an estimate is going to have to be a guestimate. Also since we have another client using the dedicated Big Blue Button virtual server we have set up and we don't think we have any way to measure usage by client we won't be able to retrospectively work out exact costs on a per-client basis.

The only set of rates I have found that we could base a short-term estimate on are these:

Do you have any idea about what the usage might be?

No idea on usage at this point; this ticket is here to give the managers an idea of potential cost for their discussions. I'll run these numbers by them.

Nope. Rob's writing the book like a nutcase, basically; he's wandering around with it under his arm, scribbling and crossing things out etc. etc. and everything else has kind of slipped off his radar. We are giving him the space...

The thought that there might be a need for a Big Blue Button server seems to have past, closing this ticket.
