Description
The Gort and Klaatu cartoon is going down well:
http://www.transitionnetwork.org/blogs/gort-and-klaatu/
One problem being experienced - is this our problem or theirs - it works in google reader, but use the feed in a widget (definitely a goal to syndicate the cartoon) and it does this:
...
"I tried it on my iGoogle page first before I try adding it as a gadget on the Wordpress page of our TT initiative. What seems to be going wrong is that iGoogle changes the link to the image. The RSS feed generates the link like this: /sites/default/files/07-Timemachine-STRIP_0.jpg but fails to specify the server, so my iGoogle page puts www.google.com in front of it where it should be www.transitionnetwork.org
Not sure if this is an error on your end or on Google's, it's just that I've never had this problem before with any RSS feed I tried to add to my iGoogle page. "
The issue was that IMCE (the image selector thingy) wasn't returning absolute URLs. Is now.
I've also taken the liberty of adding "http://www.transitionnetwork.org" to the front of all images in the blog, so the RSS now works like a dream on toast: http://www.transitionnetwork.org/blogs/gort-and-klaatu/feed
