Description

Mollom captchas not showing on a few occasions. not showing the image - "ll I can see in the box is the words 'Mollom CAPTCHA' " - hearing this a bit... asking for further info on browswers etc.

on a range of browsers - Windows XP (Pro) and Internet Explorer 8 - will keep reporting if i can

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to invalid

This could be related to:
1) Mollom - we're not paying them so we don't get their high reliability service.
2) The webserver - it's slow and there have been IP/DNS issues recently
3) Bad luck - the user didn't get a completely loaded page due to any number of internetty issues.

Options:
1) Wait and see once the many server issues are fixed.
2) Replace Mollom with CAPTCHA on pages needing simple captcha-type security, and keep Mollom for pages needing text analysis.

Marking invalid until we have concrete examples of the page(s) this affects or an answer to the options above is given.
