Image upload inconsistency for CMS: says 100x100 - 300x300 but only accepts bigger pics

Description
The image upload/display logo function is wrong (for CMS definitely, not sure about elsewhere) - users can't get their logos to display on their CMSs.
It says it only allows images 100x100 - 300x300 but only seems to allow images much bigger (which it then re-sizes to 100x100). Can't see how to tweak this myself...

Images larger WILL get resized to the right size, that's how it works... Can limit by file size (say 150K).
Please clarify what this should say/do, bit confused - or shall I remove the max pixel size and add a max file size?
