Description

www.transition-wycombe.org.uk can get the widget to work in the main body of the site but not in a side bar with constricted space. Other widgets do work for them.

They use Frontpage 2003 which throws this error:

curvyObject warning:
zero-width box with no accountable parent
tag: DIV
id: boxwrap
class:curvyIgnore
Parent tag: BODY
Parent id: widgetbox

Thanks for the report - may have to add a small snippet to the template - do you know if the error was being thrown up when loading the page on IE8 (or any other browsers)?

comment:2 Changed 6 years ago by ed

"The script errors occur in both IE and Frontpage 2003. The IE I am running is Version 7.0.5730.11 (128 bit)."

Update -
Have sent Jim an updated template. Be interested to hear if this solves the problem.

from the user:

I tried all three and they do work now. However the height tag causes white blank space under the widget which is very unnattractive where there is no white background and you are stacking widgets and other objects in a border column. If the contents exceeds the vertical height then the Transition Network logo disappears off the bottom and you get a scroll bar. The logo should be fixed at the top in the manner of the Twitter widget we use. Just suggestion! ;-)

So, it is workable without errors but the widgets remain unnattractive. Sorry! We’ll use them though. Thanks for sorting this out.

also - the latest news widget is showing blogs - yikes! I've looked and can't see how to tinker with the widget - will make sure that the laura/ed meet on sunday covers some training - how can i tinker with this for now?

Will look into widget styling after finished doing some of the other jobs - good to have feedback!

The widgets is in views - will take a peek as to why showing blogs instead of news (all info on tweaking etc sent in a doc a while back)

Looks like the filter on the latest news widget in views has been taken off - can add back - is it Transition Network News for the cck type of news you want in the widget?
