Description
User clicked on the confirmation link in the registration confirmation email and was taken to a 'log in' page when he followed it. He had clicked on it, but the system did not set his profile to 'authorised'. Using Windows 7 and Chrome.

Is this happening to other users? What is the exact process and messages for such users after clicking the link? What ad blockers/cookie settings/security software was on the computer?
I've seen 'page not found' from a missing graphic break LoginTobbogan?'s login enhancements - is this that problem?

working on it with a bunch of users. re-opening and going to hand to john (it's a long term, fiddly one, so fits his availabilities etc.).

I'm on a mac, using Safari. When I clicked on the link it took me to a page that said I had completed registration, but included even on this page a sidebar saying that I still needed to do so. Then it continued to not let me use functions that require full registration. That's all I've got.

latest information: this might be to do with the simplenews reggo process. from a useful user response: "thanks. I did click the link, but I think I may now know where something went wrong. I clicked the link to accept my registration for the newsletter first, then when I clicked the confirmation link, it told me I had already done it. "
