As I said the filesystem is mounted over the network using NFS and it exists on a FreeBSD ZFS server with 14x1GB disk and a pair of 900GB SSDs.

Bandwidth limits and characteristics

8Mb but we can burst up to the physical limits of the connection up to 5% of the time -- this is plenty, see the Puffin eth0 traffic.

The hourly work isn't directly connected to our provision of virtual servers -- we do syadmin for many clients on servers other than our own.

Our rate for sysadmin is £42 per hour and this is usually charged to non-members, like the Transition Network, in minimum units of one hour. However because we are supporters of the Transition Network we waive this minimum time and record smaller increments of time (15 min was agreed with Ed as the minimum unit of chargeable time) and we also only charge £31.25 per hour.

Ah yes, I don't really know what any of this means very well. Not a hardware person. Thanks for info.

Is 8Mb = 8Mbits/sec?

I've just noticed the following fields also:

Monthly fee
Annual fee
Total annual running cost
Backup annual cost

Does that make sense? Should I change / add to the fields for your pricing context?

Thanks.
